Langkawi Island: Ideal Places for Photo Shoots

Langkawi Cable Car is an excellent place for unforgettable photos. The funicular raises visitors to the top of Gunung Mat Chinchang. From the cable car opens a beautiful view of the forested mountains, coast, waterfall and neighboring islands of Southern Thailand. Climb to the top includes one stop, where you can get off and walk a bit. At this point begins 2.5 km long Sky Trail to the Telaga Tujuh waterfall.

Heavenly bridge on the island is point of interest from the “Must See ” category. Langkawi Sky bridge is a curved 125-meter pedestrian bridge on top of the mountain Mat Cinchang, located at the end of the Cable Car’s station at an altitude of 708 meters. From the bridge, you can see the island of Langkawi, the southern islands of Thailand and part of the island of Sumatra.

The main attraction of Langkawi is its beautiful sandy beaches. What background for photos can be better than the blue sea, sand and palm trees? On the main island, there are more than ten beaches, mostly located on the north and west coast. “Pantai” in Malay means “beach”. Pantai Cenang is the most popular beach and tourist center of Langkawi Island. The romantic Tengu Beach is specially created for a quiet family holiday. It is often chosen by the newlyweds for the honeymoon.

Located next to Kua Pier, Lagenda Langkawi Dalam Taman is a marvelous park with folklore themes and picturesque landskapes. In the “Garden Museum” under the open sky there are 17 sculptures depicting the heroes of the island’s legends, including the struggle between the heroic giants Mat Raya and Mat Chinchang, mythical birds, evil ogre and the beautiful princess Mahsuri. Photos will turn out magnificent for sure.

Dataran Lang is one of the most famous artificial landmarks of Langkawi. Going on the square, there is a 12-meter-tall sculpture of an eagle, ready to blast off. The reddish-brown eagle is considered as a symbol of the island.  Dataran Lang is full of fascinating miniature fountains, terraces and bridges, which makes it an excellent place for photo shoots. From the square, there is a wonderful view of the Kua bay. You can also watch how the ferries are cruising through the harbor. Take a lovely and romantic photo on the background of the sunset.

Wildlife Park is another attraction is Langkawi. This is a great place to relax with the whole family and to take amazing photos with animals. On its paths, walk, run and creep a variety of feathered inhabitants, allowing feed themselves from the hand of any visitor. In addition to birds, monkeys, dwarf deer, crocodiles, porcupines, there are even some rare species of animals in the park. You will definitely get a lot of pleasure from spending the whole day in the nook of wildlife.

Waterfall Seven Wells is an amazing landmark, the creation of nature on the island of Langkawi, in which, according to legend, the heavenly fairies were bathed. Seven streams of waterfall fall from a height in seven bowls-lakes. The splendor of the surrounding nature and the coolness of the lake waters make this waterfall a great place to escape from the midday tropical heat and is an ideal place for photo shoots.
