Enjoying Your First NASCAR Experience

Once you have researched and have purchased your perfect NASCAR tickets, it will soon be time to enjoy your NASCAR experience, but you may have some questions about the whole thing if you have never been before. Follow these tips to enjoy your first experience so you have the time of your life:

  • Wear Comfortable Shoes:

You will probably be walking around a lot so you want to make sure you are comfortable. High heels or boots are not advisable if you want to watch the race in comfort.

  • Plan to Get There Early:

There is a lot to do at NASCAR races and most tracks will open before the race actually starts. You may be able to enjoy question and answer sessions with drivers or other events before the race. You will also beat the crowds and get good parking.

  • Make a Weekend Out of It:

Depending on where the event is, you may want to make a weekend out of it and go down on Saturday and stay over for Sunday’s event. This will ensure you don’t have a long drive ahead of you to enjoy the event and helps you get there early.

  • Bring Earplugs:

NASCAR tracks are loud and even though you know this, it may come as a shock just how much it affects you after you have been at the track for a bit. It’s a good idea to bring earplugs so that you can be prepared if the noise is a little too much to handle. They may even sell them at the track, but if you bring them ahead of time you will be ready. Remember, since it’s so loud, you probably won’t be able to talk to your family and friends during the race.

  • Always Pay Attention to Where You Are:

If your NASCAR tickets include access to the pit road or garage areas you will want to make sure you are aware of your surroundings so you aren’t in the way.

  • Bring Your Own Drinks:

If the track allows it, consider bringing your own drinks to save money. Not only will you save money, but lines also can get pretty long and instead of waiting in line you could be enjoying the action. It’s also good to stay hydrated when it’s really hot at the track.

  • Remember Drivers Are Busy:

Many drivers may stop and you can take the time to ask for an autograph, but remember they are busy and in order to have a good experience remember they might not have time to chat.

NASCAR is definitely a special event and your first event will create memories that will last a lifetime so find a local race and purchase NASCAR tickets today.
